How is the SU funded?

How is the SU funded?
The SU receives around 10,000 euros from the CEO in three installments throughout the academic year. It is up to the Treasurer and President to decide how this money is spent. Typically, the budget is divided into two or three sections:
  1. SU Events - these include Freshers week, Halloween, Christmas, Re-Freshers etc. - all events that are organised by the SU and not by a specific society
  2. Societies
  3. SU Expenses - this includes social space orders, printing costs, welfare and education expenses etc.

The SU also makes a lot of money from the events that it holds but the amount of money varies depending on how popular events are that year.

At the end of the academic year, all the remaining money is spent on End of Year Ball.
