The Social Space at ULIP SU is a huge part of our daily lives as ULIP students and contributes to our community feel. Students have a lot of space available to them including a cinema, the kitchen area, the Yellow room and the Nube room. The SU is constantly looking to improve the social space to make it homely and open to you.
Hi there, my name is Harry Garlick and I am the Social Space Officer for the 2019-2020 academic year. My role involves looking after and maintaining the Social Space by keeping the basic amenities such as tea, coffee etc. filled, with regular orders to keep up to date on the products that the students would like (whilst making sure we are spending an appropriate amount of money for the orders that we do). To further maintain this space, I will make sure the sections of the basement are left in a good state at the end of the day, so that we can reduce the work needed for cleaners. Goals for this year: · To maintain a positive environment for students when they are in the basement · To keep the Social Space clean and tidy · To maintain the demand for certain products, whilst making sure new ones are added on occasions
If you have any requests for orders or queries/feedback about what’s going on with the Social Space, then you can message me on Facebook or Instagram!
