ULIP Girls Rugby society is a sports soc that aims to get people having fun and learning how to play rugby. We meet once a week for training and have socials outside of this for those who enjoy watching matches, having a drink or eating some good food!
Don't be put off by preconceptions of the sport, we're a fun loving society who invite along people of all levels, so whether you're a secret rugby star or somebody who's never played before we'd encourage you to join us at the training. All we recommend is to arrive prepared to give it your all and not mind getting a bit muddy!
Now into the society's second year, for 2015/16 we have plans to make some links with other female rugby groups and get ourselves a team set up. The weekly trainings are paired with weekly conditioning sessions, these involve cardio and muscular exercises in order to keep fit and healthy and always takes place in a friendly and encouraging setting. And if rugby really isn't your thing (and we're really unable to convince you otherwise!) everyone is welcomed along to conditioning.
ULIP Girls rugby is a great way to get to know other students across the years and a perfect opportunity to de-stress when the deadlines start piling up! So come along and try it out. If you have any questions do not hesitate to come see/message either myself or Sami.
